All Sides with Ann Fisher
All Sides with Ann Fisher is a two-hour, daily public-affairs talk show designed to touch upon all sides of the issues and events that shape life in central Ohio. Topics are driven by the top news stories of the day – local, regional, national and international -- and the trends in what we read and what we like to eat, where we worship and play, and more. Local issues and news-related topics will tend to dominate the first hour with larger issues and authors saved for the second.

Concerts@OSU
A series of one-hour concert programs originating from the School of Music at The Ohio State University. The series is hosted and produced by Christopher Purdy, airing on Classical 101 FM. Each broadcast will feature performances by student ensembles and faculty artists.

Continental, Ohio
Continental, Ohio is a multi-faceted story about the lost art of letterpress printing, the history of the traveling shows of the ’30s, life and culture in small town America, and the work ethic of Nyle Stateler, who has dedicated his entire life to his craft and his print shop.    

Health Literacy
Along with the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging and Judith Brachman, former director of the Ohio Department of Aging, WOSU presents a Web site devoted to health literacy.

Honor Flight
On a 98 degree day in early August, 2007, a WOSU camera crew shadowed 32 WWI veterans as they traveled to Washington D.C. to visit the WWII memorial. With help from Honor Flight, these seniors are given an all-expense paid trip of a lifetime. Veterans share their stories and thoughts on this exciting and emotional journey. The 30-minute TV special includes interviews with: Bob Dole, U.S. Senator; Susan Barr, Public Affairs/Media Director-Honor Flight; and many veterans and volunteers

In the Know

The program attracts a large participation from high schools in central and southern Ohio. The Ohio State University awards the top four high school teams who answer questions ranging from science to visual arts.

Ohioana Authors
WOSU presents 52 radio features celebrating Ohio’s rich literary and historical heritage and Ohio’s contribution to American culture through the written word. The web site covers bibliographic information, the Ohio connection, the works of each authors, and various other Web-only contributions.

OSU Commencement
Four times a year, WOSU presents a live video stream of The Ohio State University's commencement ceremonies. After the ceremony, we post an archived video of the commencement speech, and offer DVDS for sale.
   
The Pride of the Buckeyes
A television documentary that tells the story of the best damn band in the land. Follow the band from tryouts to bowl game, and learn about the elaborate half-time shows, precision formations, military traditions, and the commitment to excellence embraced by every member. From exhausting practices to nerve-wracking challenges, from the stirring ramp entrance to the graceful Script Ohio, you’ll see what it takes to be a member of the nation’s elite college marching band.

ProMusica Chamber Orchestra
A season of recorded performances with host Boyce Lancaster, airing Sundays at 1pm on Classical 101 FM. This programs airs for just a few months during the calendar year.

Return to Camelot: Music of the Kennedy Years

A look back at the Kennedy White House years, a time when the mansion was filled with youthfulness, gaiety, and elegance, and the guest lists included novelists, painters, musicians and poets.With their leadership and engaging style, John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy encouraged Americans to participate along with them in exploring and enjoying music in its many forms.

Ruby Elzy: Black Diva of the Thirties
Soprano Ruby Elzy was one of the first inductees into the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame. Sixty-five years earlier, she was chosen by George Gershwin to create the role of Serena in Porgy and Bess. Ruby appeared in feature films with Paul Robeson and Bing Crosby. WOSU acknowledges Ruby’s exceptional talent, outlines her tragic yet inspiring story, provides a look at her life and times, and offers a listen to some rare recordings of her haunting soprano voice.

Saturdays on Stage with Christopher Purdy
Saturdays at 1:30pm on Classical 101 FM. ”Opera and More!” WOSU’s showcase for great opera recordings selected and narrated by Christopher Purdy provides insights you won’t find anywhere else. (This show is preempted for the Metropolitan Opera)
