Thank you for your interest in planning a gift through your estate to support WOSU Public Media. Bequests, trusts, annuities, and other financial instruments that benefit you and WOSU are wonderful ways to provide for the future of your family as well as education, arts and culture and civic engagement in our community.

Of equal importance, carefully planned gifts to WOSU through your estate can help you realize your dream of what you want your legacy in the community to be – whether it is helping children to read through an endowment that supports children’s literacy programs or preserving our community’s culture and history for all of our citizens through funds for original programs.

As you consider making charitable gifts through your estate plans, you may want to visit Ohio State’s Creative Gift Planning, an excellent resource to help get you started – offering basic information including a Glossary of Terms. As with all web and public resources, it is not intended to replace the services of qualified professionals such as financial advisors or attorneys.

To discuss making a gift to WOSU through your estate or to notify WOSU of your existing intentions, please contact:

PLANNED GIVING RECOGNITION
The Oracle Society
In ancient Greece, the oracle looked into the future, advising those seeking true wisdom. The oracle told stories to illustrate what humankind must value – the pursuit of knowledge, artistic expression and civic participation. Those who value this mission and want to see it continue in our community in the future have included WOSU Public media in their estate plans. WOSU is proud to recognize these individuals as members of The Oracle Society.

You can join the Oracle Society by naming WOSU as beneficiary of your will, trust, annuity or other financial instrument. An attorney or financial advisory can help you determine how to do this. Then, notify WOSU or Ohio State of your intentions so that we may recognize your generosity as well as help insure that your gift is appropriately documented and will be used as you intended when it is realized.

Courtesies and Benefits:

* Lifetime subscription to Airfare magazine
* Lifetime annual renewal of the MemberCard
* Invitations to WOSU events
* Invitation to the annual Oracle Society brunch
* Invitation to the annual Neil Legacy brunch
* Recognition in various WOSU publications

The Neil Legacy
Over 125 years ago, members of the Neil Family made 361 acres of prized farm land available for the establishment of the Ohio Agricultural & Mechanical College now known as The Ohio State University. The Neil Family’s exemplary generosity and leadership created a tradition of giving that over the years has propelled Ohio State to the forefront of higher education as a preeminent teaching and research institute.

Ohio State established The Neil Legacy to recognize and honor the distinguished group of alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, and other friends who have included the university in their estate plans.

WOSU Public Media is proud to be part of The Ohio State University. As such, your planned gift to WOSU may qualify for you in recognition in Ohio State’s Neil Legacy. For more information about The Neil Legacy, please call Ohio State’s Office of Planned Giving at 800.327.7907 or 614.292.2183, or e-mail plangive@osu.edu.
