We have always been out and about in central Ohio: Ready To Learn regularly engages those who teach the young and week by week you can run into our hosts—Christopher Purdy, Boyce Lancaster, John Rittmeyer, and Fred Andrle—as they speak at live events, host live performances, and generally educate and entertain Central Ohioans!

Independent Lens: "Garbage Dreams" Community Cinema Screening
Wed., Jan. 20, 2pm, WOSU@COSI

In the outskirts of Cairo, the villagers recycle 80% of the garbage they collect. A multinational corporation now threatens their livelihood. What lessons can be learned from their story, Garbage Dreams?

The documentary will be screened at WOSU@COSI on Wednesday, January 20 at 2:00pm, followed by a panel discussion on local issues related to recycling. The public is invited to attend and join in the discussion.

This Community Cinema event is a joint project of the OSU Multicultural Center, the Columbus Community Relations Commission, and WOSU Public Media.

Community Invited to share videos, photos, and stories for documentary "Columbus Neighborhoods"

WOSU Public Media is working on a series of television documentaries about historic neighborhoods in Columbus called "Columbus Neighborhoods."

Individuals with historical videos, photos, or stories about these neighborhoods can reserve a time to share their information with WOSU. All videotaped interviews will be posted to www.wosu.org and some will be included in the documentary series.

WOSU Public Media is in search of pieces of music to put to the Columbus Neighborhoods documentary series. While we all love a good front-man (or woman), the producer is aiming for instrumentals (time cues on submissions are helpful). Anyone interested can send their music to:
