There’s power in partnerships.
That’s the thinking behind The Columbus Collaborative, a program from WOSU Public Media.
The Columbus Collaborative allows WOSU Public Media to work directly with "mission-similar" partners such as non-profit, educational, corporate, governmental, and public service organizations to create broadcast programs.
“Even when WOSU@COSI was just a concept, we envisioned our new studio as a community meeting space,” says WOSU station manager Tom Rieland. “The Columbus Collaborative is an extension of that thinking. We’re seeking partnerships that will create programs that examine our community’s issues and challenges.”
“We want WOSU Public Media to be involved in the vital conversations about Columbus,” says Rieland. “We believe The Columbus Collaborative is a wonderful forum to create those conversations.”
Dr. Lonnie G. Thompson, professor at the School of Earth Sciences and Byrd Polar Research Center at OSU, discusses “Retreating Glaciers, Abrupt Climate Change and our Future”. Fred Pearce, author and former news editor at News Scientist and currently its environment and development consultant, briefly discusses “Our Future in a Warmer World”.
Hear concerts performed in our listening area, and occasionally outside of it. Opera Columbus, Chamber Music in Columbus, the Jefferson Academy of Music, the School of Music at The Ohio State University, the Columbus Bach Ensemble, the Mansfield Symphony and the Brass Band of Columbus are some of the organizations featured.
