There’s power in partnerships.
That’s the thinking behind The Columbus Collaborative, a program from WOSU Public Media.
The Columbus Collaborative allows WOSU Public Media to work directly with "mission-similar" partners such as non-profit, educational, corporate, governmental, and public service organizations to create broadcast programs.
“Even when WOSU@COSI was just a concept, we envisioned our new studio as a community meeting space,” says WOSU station manager Tom Rieland. “The Columbus Collaborative is an extension of that thinking. We’re seeking partnerships that will create programs that examine our community’s issues and challenges.”
“We want WOSU Public Media to be involved in the vital conversations about Columbus,” says Rieland. “We believe The Columbus Collaborative is a wonderful forum to create those conversations.”
Every year, this lecture brings to campus a prominent figure to speak to the range of challenges facing land-grant institutions in the 21st century and beyond, in honor of James F. Patterson. This year’s speaker is Eric D. Fingerhut, appointed the seventh Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents on March 14, 2007. He was the first to be appointed by the Governor of the State of Ohio as a member of his cabinet, and is charged with building a system of higher education designed to prepare all Ohioans for the 21st century and rival the nation in accountability and innovation.
