My love/hate relationship with filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is explored fully in this great video from Jim Emerson. The film is “Unbreakable,” with a mood, style, and pace that is riveting. Yet, the whole is so utterly preposterous that I left the theater feeling cheated. (Ditto “The Village” and “Signs.”)
I have to admit now, after watching these clips again, that I want to re-visit it.
