Fred and Rock

2. November 2009 Category Arts organizations, Events, Film

Fred Andrle, the fomer host of Open Line who graced our airwaves for 20 years, certainly got tired of the question, “What are you going to do after you retire?”

Fred is not a sit-around-and-be-bored type. He hung up his headsets at WOSU in May 2009, but you can see him again in person at the Wexner Center on November 13, 2009. He’ll present a slightly different side of Fred, one of a Sci-Fi fan.

From the Wexner press release:

Among the great public affairs programs in the country, Open Line covered the most relevant issues of the day. But Andrle always carved out occasional slots to discuss another of his interests, the movies.

Join us this evening to hear him talk about one of his favorites, John Frankenheimer’s Seconds. The sci-fi film stars Rock Hudson as a man who enlists the help of a secret organization to provide him with a new identity and life. (107 mins., 35mm)
