The Chefs in the City 2010 Event
Thursday April 15 at WOSU@COSI. Doors will open at 5:30pm. WOSU Public Media is proud to announce Master Chef Rick Bayless as our 2010 Chefs in the City celebrity chef! Chef Bayless is the winner of Bravo’s recent Top Chef Masters and host of public television’s Mexico: One Plate at a Time, seen on WOSU TV Saturdays at 2:00pm. This year’s theme, Local Foods, focuses on the burgeoning commitment of Chef Bayless and our featured central Ohio restaurants to sustainability. What really happens at the Chefs live event? Your experience at Chefs in the City will begin a wine reception and live music, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres provided by two of the finest central Ohio gourmet restaurants. You will also enjoy a book signing with Rick Bayless and our silent auction featuring fabulous culinary-themed packages. Following the reception, you will be welcomed into Battelle Studio and become a member of our “live” studio audience for the taping of the Chefs in the City television show. Hosted by WOSU’s own Bill Schiffman and Boyce Lancaster, starring Chef Bayless and featuring 7 local celebrity chefs, the program highlights chefs demonstrating their signature dishes in our studio kitchen provided by The Home Depot. The best part: You will be served a taste of every chef’s demonstrated dish in a 9-course meal! It’s a food-lover’s dream featuring several of the best chefs in central Ohio! |
